Joaquín Caparrós, 66, manages the Armenia national football team. Having gone through all the categories as a coach, having also been a player in his youth and having been shortlisted for the position of National Coach of Spain, he decides to move more than 5,000 km away from his native Utrera to show his followers and himself, that he can still face complicated challenges. However, improving the Armenian National Team will not be the only thing they have to fight with this time. On the one hand, the COVID-19 pandemic that appears shortly after his arrival in Armenia and on the other, in September 2020, the reactivation of the conflict with Azerbaijan over the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Marzich" ("coach" in Armenian) Caparrós will have to live with these forces in his goal of qualifying the Armenian team to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
